Due to unprecedented economic trading conditions and the high levels of uncertainty that are facing all businesses, we have taken the decision to close our Horizon Platforms Warrington facility in the North West of England.
Our board of directors felt that considering the current coronavirus pandemic, and the impact this is having on Horizon Platforms’ customers, that steps had to be taken to insulate the business from what will be a challenging few months ahead.
Horizon Platforms will continue to offer outstanding service and is well placed to continue to support customers without a reduction in service quality. Our Wakefield super-depot is unrivalled in the industry with over 1000 machines and 18 delivery vehicles, when all fleet has been redeployed from the Warrington facility. We continue to offer a high value service in hire, training and sales of powered access platforms.
Horizon Platforms’ leadership team entered the implementation phase in 2020 for our growth strategy. As part of this, the business intends to continue investment in new technologies, marketing & sales and digital transformation. These plans will not only ensure growth returns to the business quickly, but ensures we are well placed to capitalise when demand in the powered access rental market returns.
We would all like to thank our Warrington employees for their commitment to Horizon Platforms and to all our customers and suppliers for their continued support.
