On Tuesday 25th September, it was time for Luke Jones and Vicki Crowe to iron their Horizon shirts and head over to Pontefract Racecourse. However there was no betting or gambling involved today, in fact they were attending a Health and Safety Awareness Event organised by the Health and Safety Executive and Working Well Together team.
The aim of the free Safety Awareness Day was to raise awareness of key health and safety issues facing the construction industry today, and to give practical advice on how to avoid risks. Health and safety professionals, consultants, and equipment and training providers were in attendance throughout the day to answer questions and provide practical demonstrations.
After easily manoeuvring our Youngman X3 into the passenger lift and into the exhibition area, Luke and Vicki were on hand to offer advice on the safe use of powered access equipment and to answer any questions regarding IPAF training.
The day was very beneficial to all involved, and gave us a great opportunity to meet up with both existing and potential new customers and suppliers.
