We’ve said it before but I think it’s important to say it again: Horizon Platforms has never been a company that simply focuses on meeting the minimum legal requirements; we’re all about best practice – about striving for and achieving the very best that we can, particularly when it comes to safety.

This ethos drives everything that we do and is the principal reason that we’ve taken our first step on the road to achieving the FORS standard, and I’m delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded bronze accreditation on our very first attempt!

£3million investment supports Horizon growth plan

As part of Horizon Platforms’ commitment to quality and safety, I’m delighted to announce a £3million investment to support our ambitious five-year growth plan.

By far the largest proportion of the money – a £2.2million capital injection – will pay for new equipment to expand our existing 700 strong hire fleet and ensure customers have even more quality access platforms to choose from. An additional 160 new specialist powered access platforms – cherry pickers, scissor lifts and personnel lifts – are being brought on board, primarily for use in the indoor maintenance and installation sector.

Warrington vs. Wakefield… As I am sure you are fully aware, Horizon Platforms has recently expanded, not only its fleet, but the coverage it can now offer to all of its customers.

Final preparations are being made for the new Horizon Warrington Depot, machines are being delivered as we speak and our new trucks are on the way. Operations are being headed up by Horizon’s own Claire Ekert and supported by a team of experienced local engineers and drivers.
