On the 15th September 2012 at 7am the Horizon Team set off on the 25 mile challenge covering three of the highest peaks Yorkshire has to offer. Shockingly the weather stayed relatively clear for us and we managed to catch some spectacular views across the Yorkshire countryside.
The challenge itself was incredibly difficult, with some people suffering the after effects more than others. The quickest finishers on the day were Ben Hirst and Tom Brook getting back in just over 8 hours! Some members of the group however, preffered the West Coast Main Line as their mode of transport back. But every member of the team can be incredibly proud of their achievement.
We held the event in aid of Wakefield Hospice, a specialist 16 bed unit in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. We are pleased to say that Horizon Platforms managed to raise over £3000 for this very worthy charity.
