There’s no denying that powered access platforms, such as scissor lifts and cherry pickers, can make working from height instantly more accessible. MEWPs allow you to safely elevate to hard-to-reach areas, navigate narrow aisles, and much more.
Celebrating our new HQ: Putting People First starts with Our Family
We celebrated our new state of the art HQ with our Horizon Family.
By Ben Hirst, Managing Director
Here at Horizon, we put people first – but it’s not just our customer who we’ll always go above and beyond for. Our team and Horizon family are at the heart of what makes us a success. That’s why we’ve recently moved into our state-of-the-art, purpose built headquarters in Wakefield to give everyone everything they need to get the job done. It was something to celebrate – so that’s what we did.
Horizon Platforms sets its sights high with the help of £45k LEP grant
Putting people first is at the heart of Horizon’s ethos. That’s why our relationship with Leeds Enterprise Partners has been so valuable. They’ve awarded us a £45,100 LEP grant, helping us to fit out our new build and create 10 new jobs including one new apprenticeship.

May the FORS be with you – Horizon’s journey on the road to safety excellence
By Brenda Droog, Transport Manager
We’ve said it before but I think it’s important to say it again: Horizon Platforms has never been a company that simply focuses on meeting the minimum legal requirements; we’re all about best practice – about striving for and achieving the very best that we can, particularly when it comes to safety.
This ethos drives everything that we do and is the principal reason that we’ve taken our first step on the road to achieving the FORS standard, and I’m delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded bronze accreditation on our very first attempt!
